Hey there!

My names Maddy, creator of MadFoodie. My obsession with the kitchen started early. You know those Scholastic Book Fairs? While my classmates were grabbing copies of Magic Tree House or Junie B. Jones, I was the kid enamored by Rachael Ray. I ordered her cookbook and the day it arrived I never looked back. My mom and I spent countless afternoons watching her show and testing out recipes. And honestly, meeting her is still on my bucket list!

Growing up in the kitchen with my grandmother (mummum) and mom taught me that food is so much more than a meal. It’s the bonding, the therapy of it, the rewarding feeling of a successful meal, and the way a home-cooked dish connects us all. Being influenced by these exceptional women showed me that cooking is a powerful way to serve others. It’s truly one of the best things in life. On this blog, you’ll find a mix of the old and the new: Generational classics passed down through my family. Grab an apron, follow along, and let’s create something delicious together!
